Ally Assistance Organization (AAO): It is Source of Hope, Purpose, and Professional Empowerment

As an Afghan woman with academic achievements in Education and a passion for educational research, my academic and professional journey has been shaped by both aspirations and the significant challenges of my country. After completing my Master's degree in Bangladesh, I returned to Afghanistan hoping to contribute to its education sector. However, the restrictions on women’s education, their participation in education and their employment left me with very limited opportunities. I started pursuing my PhD in Pakistan, focusing my research on education in Afghanistan, but financial constraints and the lack of professional opportunities made it increasingly difficult to continue my academic and research activities.
At a time when I was beginning to question the practical value of my academic achievements and considering giving up on some of my aspirations, I received an employment opportunity from Ally Assistance Organization (AAO). This opportunity became a turning point in my life. Beyond providing much-needed financial stability, it enabled me to translate my academic knowledge into practice, develop a curriculum, and work directly with female learners. Teaching these students every day and contributing to their learning has gradually restored the professional confidence and sense of purpose that years of uncertainty and restricted opportunities had taken away from me.
Ally Assistance has reminded me that my knowledge, education, and professional abilities still matter and that I can continue making a meaningful contribution despite the challenging circumstances that Afghan women are facing. It has become a source of light and renewed hope in my professional journey.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the founder and the entire team of Ally Assistance Organization for creating such meaningful opportunities and for their commitment to fairness, transparency, educational quality, equity, and equality. For me, Ally Assistance is more than an organization; it is a space where knowledge is valued, women’s potential is recognized, and professional aspirations are given the opportunity to flourish.

Thousands of Afghans who worked with American forces have been relocated to the US over the past three years. Yet, a great many remain in Afghanistan under precarious conditions, pressed with Taliban persecution, unemployment, and economic disparity, hoping to someday make it to the US with their families. As they await an uncertain future, surviving daily and putting food on the table is the ultimate objective for many. I referred several of such individuals, who served the interests of the United States for years and are now struggling for mere survival, to Ally Assistance for help. Ally Assistance modest contributions to these individuals and their families literally means putting food on their table and enabling them to survive on a daily basis. Without that, these people have no other way of survival. Every single dollar that Ally Assistance sends makes a difference and increases the chances of survival for very well-deserving people in Afghanistan.
